Another resource used by Evergreen AES in industrial cleaning and surface preparation is water blasting. In this process the force of water, which can be from 10,000 and 20,000 psi, or ultra high-pressure water blasting up to 40,000 psi, is used to powerfully remove materials from even the hardest to reach nooks and crannies. Water flow will range from 6 to 60 gallons per minute.
Evergreen AES has used water blasting in the following industrial applications:
Tanks and Vessels
Water Blasting is extremely effective in cleaning the interiors of tanks, vats, and other containers not suited for other conventional cleaning methods. Containment and sump cleaning can also be effective completed with water blasting.
Pipes, Conduits, Sewer Lines
Water blasting has the capability to clean large diameters as well as those as small as 3/8″ diameter. This surface preparation technique is an effective way to remove scale and deposits inside pipes, conduits and sewer lines.
Heat Transfer Equipment
Water blasting will return equipment to peak performance without any of the metallurgical or hazardous waste concerns that arise with other cleaning methods.
Large Surfaces
Typically, hardened deposits respond better to higher pressures, and softer materials are best removed with higher flows.
Water blasting is ideally suited for cleaning large surfaces such as parking lots, walls, and hulls. With minimal time and effort, various types of material can be removed from metal and concrete surfaces. Barnacles, paint, mineral deposits, and rust scale are but a few of the more common materials that can be removed through the use of this cleaning technique.
Each project is unique and we will help you determine the combination of pressure and flow which will work best for you.
