Evergreen AES Geotechnical services include conducting site investigations to determine ground conditions, underlying geology and hydrology using a wide range of drilling, soil sampling, and in-situ protocols to collect data.
This data can then be used to determine the type and use of preventative measures to mitigate possible settlement, soil movement, or the presence of groundwater or contamination that may adversely impact existing or proposed uses of a property.
Evergreen AES’s geotechnical services include providing surface exploration and subsurface exploration of a site. Sometimes, geophysical methods are used to obtain data about sites. Subsurface exploration usually involves soil sampling and laboratory tests of the soil samples retrieved. Surface exploration can include geologic mapping, geophysical methods, and photogrammetry, or it can be as simple as a geotechnical professional walking around on the site to observe the physical conditions at the site.
Evergreen AES can obtain information about the soil conditions below the surface, by performing some form of subsurface exploration. Methods of observing the soils below the surface, obtaining samples, and determining physical properties of the soils and rocks can include test pits, trenching (particularly for locating faults and slide planes), and borings.
